2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
1 cup buttermilk
2 eggs
4 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla
dash of salt
Filling
4 cups raisins
1 cup water
2 tsp flour
½ cup sugar
add enough flour until the dough is a good consistency to roll.
Not sticky
Bake 350 degrees, .
Roll out dough on floured board and cut with round cookie cutter, Put a teaspoon of filling on each one and then put another round of cookie on top, sealing edges. Put on cookie sheet and bake till browned.
For filling put raisins and water in blender and blend well. Put in saucepan with 2 tsp flour and ½ cup sugar and cook approx 5 minutes till thick, stirring constantly. Let cool
