ORIGINAL CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

1 cup margarine

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)


Bake 375 degrees for 10 – 12 minutes

Makes about 6 dozen cookies

Cream together, margarine and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt, gradually blend into creamed mixture. Add chocolate chips and nuts. Drop from small spoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
